What I learned in my devotional today...

Today I learned about how many Christians had to suffer because they were caught witnessing to people. I learned about some of the many torture instruments that were used on Christians. One was a whip (scourge)

Here are some facts about the whip:

Glass and other metal objects were attached to the whip to cut the person's flesh when being whipped.

Metal balls were on the whip to cause internal bleeding.

There are nine strips of leather on the whip, each with an assortment of knives, glass, and metal on them.
